Royal Caribbean Online Now Offering Specialty Restuarant Reservations

As part of their Cruise Enhancements, Royal Caribbean International is now offering cruisers the ability to book specialty dining reservations before setting foot on board. Reservations for Chops Grille or Portofino can be made up to 10 days prior to your sailing. This new feature, which can be found under Cruise Enhancements while in your reservation on the RCI website, is not yet available fleetwide. The dates this service will be available are as follows:

-Adventure of the Seas(for sailings on or after July 27, 2008) Wednesday, June 25, 2008
-Brilliance of the Seas(for sailings on or after June 10, 2008) Tuesday, May 13, 2008
-Enchantment of the Seas(for sailings on or after August 14, 2008) Monday, July 14, 2008
-Explorer of the Seas(for sailing on or after July 26, 2008) Wednesday, June 25, 2008
-Freedom of the Seas(for sailing on or after May 25, 2008 Friday, April 25, 2008
-Independence of the Seas(for sailing on or after July 12, 2008) Wednesday, June 11, 2008
-Jewel of the Seas(for sailing on or after June 27, 2008) Tuesday, May 27, 2008

Royal Caribbean Cruises Ltd. names a new vice president of Environmental Stewardship

MIAMI – April 24, 2008 – Royal Caribbean Cruises Ltd. has named conservation advocate Jamie Sweeting as its vice president of Environmental Stewardship.

In his position, which is new to the company, Sweeting will be responsible for establishing the company’s long-term environmental strategy, including goals and objectives that ensure responsible corporate environmental performance. These objectives will incorporate factors such as climate change, destination stewardship, current and future environmental regulations and agreements, and programs that lead to sound environmental policy, compliance, incident response and training. RCI First quarter 2008 net income

MIAMI – April 24, 2008 – Royal Caribbean Cruises Ltd. (NYSE, OSE: RCL).

Key Highlights
First quarter 2008 net income of $75.6 million, or $0.35 per share, compared to $8.8 million, or $0.04 per share in 2007.
First quarter 2008 Net Yield grew 7.1% to a record $173 per APCD.
First quarter 2008 Net Cruise Costs per APCD increased 2.9%, and decreased 1.0% excluding fuel.
Fuel prices increased 53% versus 2007, but energy savings initiatives and hedging lowered the cost impact per APCD to 24%.
For the full year 2008, the company continues to expect Net Yields to increase in a range around 4%, and adjusting for higher current fuel prices,
earnings per share to be $2.85 to $3.00. [Read more]

Celebrity Cruises is giving Caribbean cruise enthusiasts something to celebrate

MIAMI – April 23, 2008 – Celebrity Cruises is giving Caribbean cruise enthusiasts something to celebrate in late 2009 and early 2010. For the first time in five years, Celebrity will offer a range of Caribbean itineraries lasting a week or longer on five of its ships: Celebrity Constellation, Celebrity Equinox, Celebrity Mercury, Celebrity Solstice, and Celebrity Summit. Together, the ships will call at 26 different ports during sailings ranging from seven to 14 nights, departing from Fort Lauderdale, Florida, and San Juan, Puerto Rico.
