  • We want to make you aware of a new boarding policy. Due to new government regulations, all guests must board 90 minutes prior to sailing or will not be permitted to sail.
  • The Nickelodeon brand of kids’ entertainment has extended its growing influence in the travel industry to include family cruising.
  • Now that you’ve reserved your cruise, how about enjoying some freedom of choice in your dinner options.
  • Here’s some additional information to keep in mind:
    • Dinner is served in the Main Dining Room
    • Same menu as traditional seating
    • Same impeccable service as traditional seating
    • Must pre-pay gratuities to participate - this includes tips for your waiter, assistant waiter, head waiter and stateroom attendant
    • Guests will not receive a table assignment or permanent table mates
    • You will have the ability to request a certain waiter
    • My Time Dining waiters share their gratuities amongst the other My Time Dining waiters; feel free to reward your waiter with an extra tip for providing excellent service
    • You will be seated with the party you arrive with; you can request to be seated with other guests or alone
    • Once dinner service begins for your table, no additional guests will be seated (to provide you with a smooth, non-disruptive meal)
    • Reservations are recommended in order to avoid a delay in seating (reservations will be taken once onboard)
    • When reserving your cruise, you will need to provide your reservation number and the number of guests participating in the My Time Dining option
    • Offer is subject to availability

    • Freedom of the Seas October 15, 2007 - April 26, 2009

  • Groundhog Day or Groundhog’s Day is a holiday celebrated in New York and Pennsylvania on February 2. In weather lore, if a groundhog, also known as a woodchuck, marmot or ground squirrel, emerges from its burrow on this day and fails to see its shadow because the weather is cloudy, winter will soon end. If the groundhog sees its shadow, it will return into its burrow, and the winter will continue for 6 more weeks.

Royal Caribbean Cruises today announced record net income for the fourth quarter 2007

MIAMI January 30, 2008 – Royal Caribbean Cruises Ltd. (NYSE/OSX: RCL) today announced record net income for the fourth quarter 2007 of $70.8 million, or $0.33 per share, compared to net income of $46.6 million, or $0.22 per share, in 2006.  Revenues were better than expected, driven by stronger close-in bookings, while fuel costs were higher due to rising fuel prices.  Revenues for the fourth quarter 2007 increased to $1.5 billion from revenues of $1.2 billion in the fourth quarter 2006.   [Read more]

Nickelodeon and Royal Caribbean International Team Up

NEW YORK – Jan. 28, 2007 – Nickelodeon, a unit of MTV Networks, a division of Viacom International, Inc. (NYSE: VIA B), and Royal Caribbean International, a cruise line owned and operated by Royal Caribbean Cruises Ltd. (NYSE/OSX: RCL), announced a new agreement where the two will introduce the “Nickelodeon Family Cruise with Royal Caribbean.”  The first-ever Nickelodeon cruise will set sail on August 10-17, 2008, departing out of Miami, Fla., on an exclusive, seven-day Nickelodeon family summer vacation.
