  • We will have a discussion with Radio on staying connected on board.
  • Internet & Wi-Fi: Ships are equipped with Internet Cafes featuring 12 - 24 terminals (more private are the cyber stations at business centers on ships that have them — Voyager and Radiance class).
  • Usually 6 hot spots per ship, business center, library, vicinity of purser’s desk, centrum, solarium, promenade on Voyager class, that sort of thing. Freedom class is wi-fi throughout.
  • To minimize costs, log on, download emails, log off, read and write replies, log on and send email, log back off again.
  • The internet on ships is a shared connection via satellite, imagine sharing your cable modem with a couple hundred of your best friends, it wouldn’t seem very fast either, so the trick is to log on early morning, or late night, if you log on at lunch time on a sea day
  • In general, if your Mac supports 802.11x, then you should be able to connect and use the Internet on all RCI ships (or any access point in America for that matter, e.g. Starbucks, airports, etc.).
